Avocado Tool

Avocado Kitchen Tool. I usually hate specific kitchen tools clogging up my kitchen. I am the queen of “Okay….but my knife can do that”. However, it is unnervingly easy to stab your own hand while opening and depitting an avocado. A quick Google search revealed that “In the last 20 years, 50,413 people paid a visit to the emergency room for an avocado-related knife mishap”. Hard pass on any and all avocado-related-knife-mishaps.

Use:

This tool takes every stupid step of opening an avocado super simple. It includes a: serrated cutting tool to split the avocado; a metal pitter for that classic wooden ball; and a slicer to make seven perfectly gorgeous pieces worthy of plating even the most bougie frozen burrito.

Wash:

It washes off with just water if you rinse it right away. If you forget, RESIST the urge put it in the dishwasher or garbage. Both will render the tool useless. TRUST ME.

Update:

I have since discovered Wholly Avocado. They’re individual servings of mashed avocado, ready to use.

If you’re like me and rarely correctly time the ripeness of your avocado, these are for you. They’re more plastic waste, but for me they’re less food waste. So, do with that what you may. I’ve always been able to use these before it goes bad. Add in some onion powder, garlic salt, pepper, and True Lime, and you’ve got an always-on-hand serving of guacamole.
